Oh Yea! Oh Crap! These 2 Little Words Can Make or Break You!

It is a matter of perspective.

“Oh Yea!” creates a positive endorphin release and “Oh Crap” a negative one.

Let me give you an example I use with my clients. Listen to the difference in voice inflection when you say these two sentences out loud.

First example: “Oh Crap I only have 10 minutes, so I may as well bag it.” (Insert negative emoji face here)

Second example: “Oh Yea! I have 10 minutes so I am going to do an Energy Burst! I will do 10 push-ups, 10 squats and run in place for 2 minutes. I think I can go through this at least 3 times!” (Insert positive emoji face here!)

Same amount of time. One says negative and does not move. The other says positive and does some great movement.

Energy Bursts add up and they count! It is a mind set SKILL and must be practiced. Energy Bursts take away most excuses for not moving.

It takes a bit of effort in the beginning to develop this SKILL, but once it is in the brain, it sticks.

Try it and see how much more exercise you get over the course of a month!!

This is one of the foundation skills I teach and practice myself. I have been working 12 hour days for the past few months developing my new offers, and trust me if it were not for Energy Bursts I would not have worked out much at all!!

They keep consistency in my life and that is the absolute KEY to staying Fit and Healthy!!

So, the next time you look at your day and it seems to packed to work out, try to take 10 minutes here and there to move about. It does not matter in the beginning of this skill development WHAT YOU DO. It matters THAT YOU DO. Develop the MIND SET and then get into the details of the What.

Yours in Health and Fitness!
